May. 24, 2007 (China Knowledge) – Guangzhou Honda, a 50-50 joint venture between Guangzhou Automobile Group and Honda Motor Co. Ltd, has started operations of its business center this Tuesday in Chengdu, capital city of Sichuan Province, to cope with the rapidly changing western Chinese market.

Using capital of about RMB 50 million, the business center features spare parts warehouses, vehicle storage space, office buildings and a comprehensive training center. The center also serves franchised stores that are located in one municipality and 10 provinces such as Guangxi, Yunnan and Guizhou.

Having also established business centers in Beijing and Shanghai, Guangzhou Honda can undertake automobile logistics services targeting a production capacity of 360,000 units and sales volume of one million units.
